Welcome reception

We will hold a welcome reception at a restaurant ​in Tokyo with the aim of facilitating participant ​interaction.

HIGH school visit

We will observe an "Information" class at two high ​schools in Tokyo and engage in discussions with ​the teacher.

Elementary school and middle ​school visit

We will observe an “Informatics” class at an ​elementary school and “Technology” class at a ​middle school in Sendai.

Confrerence AT Sendai Akiu Hot ​Spring

Discussion will focus on the necessary ​competencies, policy formulation, infrastructure ​development, teacher training, and DE&I.

In the era of AI, information technology is becoming ​fundamental to all value creation activities. When striving to ​build a society that values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, ​promoting computer education in public schools is urgent.

This project aims to gather members from various sectors ​across the Asia-Pacific region to address the significant ​issues identified previously (such as policy formulation, ​infrastructure development, teacher training, and inclusivity). ​Through classroom visits, discussions with teachers, and ​dialogue among participants from various countries, we seek ​to promote a uniquely Asian-Pacific approach to computer ​education.

We will hold a welcome reception at a restaurant in Tokyo with ​the aim of facilitating participant interaction.

You will be staying at the same hotel for two nights starting ​from November 20th.

We will visit two high schools in Tokyo to observe an ​“Information” class at each school.

After the classes, we will have a discussion with the teachers.

• We will travel from the hotel to Nitobe Bunka High School ​by chartered bus.
• After visiting Nitobe Bunka High School, we will travel to ​Tokyo Metropolitan Kunitachi Senior High School by ​chartered bus.
• After observing the high school class, we will return to the ​hotel by bus.
• Those who wish may get off at Shinjuku Station before ​returning to the hotel.
• The evening is free for personal activities.
  

We will gather in the morning and travel to Sendai together by Shinkansen

We will observe an “Information” class at the Attached ​Elementary School of Miyagi University of Education school ​and “Technology” class at the Attached Junior High School of ​Miyagi University of Education.

After observing the school classes, we will travel to the hot ​spring inn by chartered bus.

We will stay at a hot spring resort in Sendai Akiu Onsen.

• Dinner and breakfast are included.
• From check-in until the meeting the next day, you are free ​to explore on your own.

Discussion will focus on the necessary competencies, policy ​formulation, infrastructure development, teacher training, and ​DE&I.

• Guest speakers from OECD, Code.org, and Japan's ​Ministry of Education are scheduled to speak.

Register by October 6th, you can join for $700 ​USD.

• After October 6th, the price will be $900 USD.
  
• Conference fees are used only to cover ​accommodation ($550 USD) and transportation ​($150 USD) costs.
  
• If you wish to extend your stay at the hot spring ​resort after the conference, you can do so for an ​additional $250 USD per night.
  
• Travel expenses to Japan and any items not included in ​the list on the right are at your own expense.
